The Korea Tourism Organization has selected the 5.5 Shining Children’s Festival of the lighting museum as the representative children’s festival in Korea. Initially, it was a small scaled activity, however, it has become Korea’s representative festival on the children’s day due to the enthusiastic response of visitors every year that about 20,000 to 30,000 people visit since 2014. It is also widely known as children’s festival with vivid and creative “culture” and “art”
The Shining Children’s Festival is a field experience which cultural and artistic education is shared with children and visitors can voluntarily participate and communicate with children. At the same time, it has a festival structure centered on light, color and lighting, just like a museum specializing in lighting. In particular, the festival held in the museum, is a festival that promotes the health and happiness of family festivals including children, with interest and response to culture, art, and the environment.
